Robin Hood 03:24
Growing pains, ain’t it funny Biding time, when time is money They want me lost, but I ain’t lost Got places to be I just really want to see you Can’t get the train ‘cause I can’t pay the fare So I take long walks to feel like I’ve been going somewhere Pulled all our notes, broke on the lottery And we keep drinking cause drinking’s cheaper than therapy Talk to me How you living, heard you good Been a while Know I’d fix it if I could Robin Hood And you know I’m good for it Like I know you good for it So I don’t really care where the money at You waiting tables, but times is changing Once they turnin round know you’ll get me back It’s in the motion and once it’s flowing you’ll get me back, babe Like I’ll get you back I’ll get you back babe And you know I’m good for it Like I know you good for it Growing pains, gotta eat Can’t complain though, cause talk is cheap Can you hold me down til the week is up Owe you from owing me and that’s how we keep it even Won’t pay the fine, but it’s fine all the same (fine all the same) We been getting by on less than minimum wage Worse comes to worse we’ll go back to Cali If the rent isn’t paid we’ll blame it on Mercury Talk to me How she living heard they good He done changed Lost another to the game Robin Hood And you know I’m good for it, like I know you good for it So I don’t really care where the money at You waiting tables, but times is changing Once they turnin round know you’ll get me back It’s in the motion and once it’s flowing Said I don’t really care where the money at You waiting tables, but times is changing Once they turnin round know you’ll get me back It’s in the motion and once it’s flowing you’ll get me back, babe (Tell me how you been) Like I’ll get you back I’ll get you back babe (I don’t care, I don’t care where the money at) And you know I’m good for it Like I know you good for it yeah How you livin heard you good, he done changed Lost another to the game Robin Hood Robin Hood I don’t really care where the money at You waiting tables, but times is changing Once they turnin round know you’ll get me back

You say you don’t know where I came from
I said keep your feet off the table I be giving eyes as a warning Like you can sleep it off til the morning But I’m keeping you at elbows Far enough we trippin just to get close I can keep shining on no sleep When I’m about the price of a pearly Cause Saabi say she love me when she know I’m too much Tried being a lady but I like going Dutch Yellin at the mirror so who am I to judge When I’m trying so hard to be easy to love like You ain’t seen my B side You ain’t seen me in the shade nah You only see me in the sunshine Pushing 80 degrees in my new slides Serving Bonnie and cheesing for your reel like (Feeling cute right, feeling too right) Where do we go from here? Where do we go from here? I put you on to a new song Listen while we lookin out the window Wishing I’m that girl from that movie Wishing that there ain’t nothin to me (lobotomy) Might fuck around and cry for no reason I be disappearing for a season
I spend my winters in darkness I made snow angels in the carpet Days I spend eternity just locked in my room Nothing really matters on the mattress til noon Waiting for the sunset like it aint nothing new Either yell at myself or I’m blaming the moon like You ain’t seen my B-side Seen me in the shade nah You only see me in the sunshine Pushing 80 degrees in my new slides Serving Bonnie and cheesing for your reel like (Feeling cute right, feeling too right) Where do we go from here? Where do we go from here? (Where do we go from here?) Watch her go Watch her fucking up the scene girl What a dream girl Gucci buttons at the seams girl
Watch her scream girl Just for fun (just for fun)
But why you go — Why you fucking up the scene girl Could’ve been a dream girl Ya buttons tearing at the seams girl I can’t be your dream girl (Nah) (Don’t you remember, Peter? I drank poison for you you used to call me Tink) You ain’t seen my b-side Ain't seen me when the shades drawn You’ll never see i ain’t a good time After the crowds go home Feeling blue right? I said I ain't here for long You said isn’t that a song I was talking to myself yeah When I said where do we go from here

Icarus 04:08
Ain’t looking for someone to cry for you You know who’d be willing to die for you Mother or martyr What is her name What is she made of Ain’t it the same Maybe it’s the way our daddy loved Holding in a little bit too much Holding on to things we shouldn’t touch That’s why I called you Icarus Like pockets of sunshine My baby popping bottles of sunshine And no one’s always having a good time Stuck in a good mind, but ride til I die, I ride or I die Nah they don’t get it They telling me mama no you gon regret it And maybe but I know that I got my reasons If he got his demons, the devil’s a lie the devil’s a lie Lie I oh ooh oh Been trying to understand Missing the days you held my hand Where do you go to Where do you run Under the covers Or into the sun Maybe it’s the way you always loved Giving more than you got in your cup Leaving you alone with all your thoughts You know that’s dangerous You can say you got it in control Maybe if you say it with a smile I tell you thanks for picking up the phone Asking won’t you stay a while Shadowbox your demons til the dawn Telling me it’s really all in fun With swollen eyes and swollen fists Oh Icarus Pockets of sunshine My baby popping bottles of sunshine And no one’s always having a good time Stuck in a good mind, but ride til I die, I ride or I die Nah they don’t get it They telling me mama no you gon regret it And maybe but I know that I got my reasons If he got his demons, the devil’s a lie the devil’s a lie Lie I oh ooh oh Where do you run to Where do you go You’re flying too close Where do you run to You’re flying too close Pockets of sunshine My baby popping bottles of sunshine And no one’s always having a good time Stuck in a good mind, but ride til I die, I ride or I die Nah they don’t get it They telling me mama no you gon regret it And maybe but I know that I got my reasons If he got his demons, the devil’s a lie the devil’s a lie Lie, I oh ooh oh Oh I oh ooh Oh [“I Don’t Miss the Rain” Interlude] I hope you find your own sunshine But baby I’m not the one to show you I don’t miss the rain

When you’re ready Note to self When it’s over Cleanse yourself. Seriously, treat your skin really well Take a bath, strike a match, light a candle Look at yourself in the mirror in soft lighting Spend lots of time in the bathroom Like lots of time But escape your bedroom — seriously Out the windows or through the door Take a walk Get some fresh air in your lungs Or get some bad air in your lungs Smoke a cigarette and then put it out under your shoes Breathe in deeply and appreciate the fresh air Remind yourself how good it feels after something bad for you and with a little head rush Escape your bedroom — metaphorically Stay in bed and read fiction Fiction centered around strong protagonists who are flawed and beautiful and couldn’t give less of a fuck and everytime they say something especially badass Say it outloud to yourself Use a lot of hand gesticulation Badasses use their hands Badasses have cool hair Cut or dye or shave yours Get a tattoo — nothing too meaningful a piercing maybe Wrap yourself in cotton Be kind to your reflection Be forgiving to yourself Process things as non-linearly as you need to
And turn off the radio The radio will never be the answer Turn off the fucking radio Make your own playlist Stop leave things to chance and calling it fate Remind yourself of the things you can control Tell your close friends (You know you’re better off) Let them tell you you’re way better off Roll your eyes so far into the back of your head, But listen Call your mother Call your mother (Hello) Let her tell you she’s sorry Let her tell you she loves you Let her nag you about menial adult things That you’ve neglected to do And then focus on those things for a while As a distraction Allow yourself distractions And buy new shoes Sexy enough that your feet make your hands jealous Sensible enough to run away from serial killers Heavy enough to keep you grounded Heavy enough to keep you from getting swept off those feet so easily next time

Dollar Store 03:39
It’s the taste of lemonade and the summers at your house And I wish the past could stay cause the future freaks me out And I'll run from thinking and I’d flip a coin to choose But the rent’s too high and the evening news Says I sleep good (yeah I sleep good) On the right side of the bed But I wake up and I want the left instead And I’ll walk out but I’m scared to close the door Scared to wake up and wonder what we settled for A bank account with a habit that you can’t afford A jet set job you gotta wear a collar for A members club with a view of the dollar store And this wasted truth’s been wasted on youth before Spent a year on your sofa, a couple kids in a basement Drinking beer on a Tuesday morning and I burnt the toast again So you borrowed someones dream and you moved to the west coast And we became what we become: just salesmen in nice clothes And she kissed you and she told you never change And she loved you enough to walk around with your name Now you wake up in the middle of the bed And you wonder what you could have been instead and what you settled for A bank account with a habit that you can’t afford A jet set job you gotta wear a collar for A members club with a view of the dollar store And this wasted truth’s been wasted on youth before Am I wasting my breath Are we wasting away Am I wasted, are you wasted Are we wasting the days Am I wasting my breath Are we wasting away Am I wasted, are you wasted Are we wasted So where did it go Something changed I’m not jaded But we’ve seen better days Cause I know nothing good ever stays But baby, we’ve seen better days
